Zeventien duiffies
“Zeventien duiffies” (seventeen pigeons) is about the comfort that pigeons can give in searching for the feeling of home in an environment that is unfamiliar. Pigeons are always present, in the background or deliberately in the foreground. Also in this work, I want to make the viewer aware that they are not just “street rats,” but animals trying to survive in the world. By giving them different colors, I give them different personalities, just as no two real
pigeons are the same.
